Listeners to the Jon Gaunt show were among the first to ring in with details describing this morning's harrowing scenes. Mayor Ken Livingstone addressed the attackers during a statement to Londoners from Singapore. He called them "cowardly terrorists" and vowed that the capital would quickly recover. The true extent of the events was revealed at the emergency services' press conference at the Queen Elizabeth II hall.
