The Alphites: taking part in Streetwaves

Streetwaves 2007

The search is on for Liverpool’s freshest musical talent. The Liverpool Culture Company is looking for bands and individual artists aged between 14 and 25 to take part in Streetwaves 2007.

Streetwaves is a chance for talented musicians aged 14-25, to take those valuable first steps in the music industry, get advice from industry professionals and get performance experience. Streetwaves 2007 will include outdoor heats in each of Liverpool’s five neighbourhoods.

Now in its third year, Streetwaves is a partnership between Liverpool Culture Company, Youth Music, MZONE, The Picket, The Dry Bar, Liverpool Youth Service and The Liverpool Young Promoters.

The most exciting talent from each heat can win a chance to perform on the Streetwaves stage at the legendary Mathew Street Music Festival on 27 August. Not only this, but the opportunity to play at the all day party at The Picket music venue on 25 August and studio time at Elevator (whose clientele include The Zutons, The Coral and The Kooks!)
