Sunshine Festival returns to the riverside at Fish Meadow in Upton-upon-Severn for its 17th edition, bringing four days of music, camping and family-friendly entertainment to Worcestershire.

The festival has grown into one of the area's biggest music weekends, with five stages and capacity for around 4,000 people each day.

More than 100,000 people have attended across its 17-year history.

And there’s plenty to look forward to in 2026. The Proclaimers headline, alongside JLS, 10cc, Reef, The Fratellis, Tony Hadley, T'Pau, Goldie Lookin Chain and The Wonder Stuff, with Ultrabeat, Ian Van Dahl and The Wurzels also on the bill.

What started as a small two-day metal festival in 2012 has grown into Beermageddon, now returning to Stoke Prior for its 14th year.

The festival was founded by DJ and promoter Jim Beerman, who had been putting on gigs featuring underground and emerging metal bands through his ‘Beerman Presents’ nights. The idea was to bring those shows together for one weekend.

The first Beermageddon was planned for a venue holding just 80 people, but sold out within weeks. It quickly grew, moving to its current home at Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club in 2013.

More than a decade on, Beermageddon remains fiercely independent and grassroots, with four days of hard and heavy metal over the August Bank Holiday weekend. It has sold out year after year, while keeping the intimate, family-friendly atmosphere that helped make its name.

A tasty line-up is heading to Hereford this August as the Indie Food Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary.

More than 25 independent traders and producers will take over The Yard, with 10 chefs cooking over fire, a makers market and plenty of family entertainment.

And there’s a serious soundtrack too. Kevin & Perry Go Large and Ibiza Brass headline Saturday, while Craig Charles brings his funk and soul party to the Sunday finale, alongside Beatles Dub Club.

Across two live stages, DJs and local acts add to the atmosphere, making this much more than a food festival.

The festival returns with over 170 hours of entertainment in just one weekend of traditional music, song and dance. 

The festival started in 1968 and sold 150 tickets, now the weekend attracts thousands every year.

WMF has been dubbed as Worcester's version of SXSW in Texas.

Taking place in multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from from some of the best, new and emerging artists in the UK.

The annual festival was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who produces Worcestershire Sauce.

He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.
