A summer tradition in Whitchurch, Party in the Park returns to Jubilee Park this August for a free afternoon of live entertainment and local celebrations.

The event dates back more than a decade, with local bands and community groups taking to the park's bandstand as far back as 2013.

More recently, organisers have moved it to the August Bank Holiday weekend, giving the town a chance to make the most of the late-summer sunshine.

The 2026 event features live music, food and drink, stalls and activities, with plenty happening across Jubilee Park throughout the afternoon.

This festival is particularly proud of its grassroots credentials, giving emerging and independent artists a platform to perform their own material.

It is also entirely volunteer-run and free to attend.

This year's programme includes performances across the Castle Gardens, High Street and Quayside, with fringe events in pubs, cafés and other spaces around Bridgnorth, making the festival a celebration that spreads throughout the town rather than taking place in a single venue.

The organisers are always searching to find new authentic artists, as well as providing a platform for established performers.​
