The choir is a part of the performing arts school “Glanaethwy”. The school of 250 members was started 18 years ago by Cefin and Rhian Roberts who felt that children in the area weren’t getting performance training. Children can join from age 7 and there is no upper age limit. Auditions are not required to join the school and Glanaethwy also have a junior choir. Uniquely, the choir sings in Welsh and they are very proud to be Welsh, which is demonstrated through their singing and song choices.
