i think Raul did it because when he went to the store he didn't come back and say we need to go now. It's as if the men knew he was there and they parked right in front of the place they could have easily looked inside to see. When he went to the apartment he never checked the closets or the bathrooms. When they got out of the car he didnt check the bad guys car. That would have been the first thing I did. How did they not see him pull up beside them.

he shut the door on her when she got kidnapped and he didnt look in the last bedroom for her when he 'broke' into the house. Maybe breaking into houses is what he does often?

I dont think it was Raul - it would make no sense at all as to why he would rescue her! And all the instances where it looks as if he might have been involved - he didnt try hard enough to stop the car, he didnt chase hard enough etc... at the end of the day its a learning program and these situations had to be presented in order for us to pratice the appropriate Spanish :)

I think it was Raul because he didn't open the door for her. It was like he shut it for her. And also how did they find out where she was all the time. Especialy, how did they find her in Medina de Rio seco because there was no way unless somebody told them. So with that said, it could have been Esther instead/also Raul. Maybe it was all of them. And when Jorge made that suspicious call in the middle of dinner.

It cannot have been Raúl! he panicked about Merche so much it gave off the intention of him fancying her!! And he was sad when Merche left the rented car!
He was the sweetest character!

He went out to the car to stop it too slowly. He looked suspicious, he knew a lot about Merche and her activities.
