I think it was Jorge cos 1) He has that cold, calculating bad-guy-from-a-bond-movie look. 2) He said he was a biologist working for an NGO and knew about Rodriguez and Merche's investigation (he said he agrees Rodriguez is behind it all) so I reckon his job is a ruse to get closer to Merche when actually he is being paid by Rodriguez to spy on her. Cos he looks like a colleague she just met rather than an actual friend. 3) She meets up with him immediately after being pursued by blonde henchman. So Jorge probably arranged it after being instructed that "she got away"4) He leaves to make a suspicious phone call right before she is robbed (probably setting it up) and then he acts all innocent (I don't see a taperecorder) Suspicious. 5) He probably bugged her cellphone, knowing she's "always on the phone". The henchman knew she was in Media Rioseco (she tells you by mobile) and that she was at the golf course in Gran Canaria (she tells Raul by mobile).

It could have been Jorge, he could have stolen her tape recorder, but then she could also have left it at home... she obviously wasn't completely sure she had it with her because she said 'tal vez al piso'.

Asi, creo ha sido Lola, ella es muy sospechoso. Se miraba en el piso cuando dio el regalo y le robaron el grabadora de el piso.

She was in the perfect position to see when Merche left the flat and follow her. Also, Merche left the bus timetable, with the bus she was catching highlighted, on the table in the flat. It wouldn't have been hard to trace her to Medina de Rioseco.

It can't be Esther, because she had access to all of Merche's research, if she was working for the 'other side' she would have destroyed it or stolen it.
Carlos maybe, he certainly knew where she was staying and where they were going... but why didn't he kidnap her after the wine tasting... he had the opportunity! Asi no ha sido Carlos.

I think it is Jorge because he Jorge was there when the tape-recorder was stolen. He wanted to speak on the mobile alone. His behaviour was suspicious. He may have arranged the theft, and told someone to steel the tape. Remember the phone call that he took at dinner, I think he told to steel the tape.
Jorge is not a real friend. Just an agent working for that builder.

I think that it was Jorge because he is always getting mysterious phone calls and whenever he gets them he walks off. Wierd.

It all adds up: he had access to the documents, was with Merche when the pick-pocket passed by, had that mysterious phone call, and just looks like a creeper.
