Swansea Your story is a local history community archive for the people of Swansea and any one with an interest in Swansea. We publish a regular newsletter that is sent to all members.. Arrange exhibitions and give talks on Swansea past. Stories and photographs are also freely available over the Internet for anyone to research.
History is for young and old, yesterday is history so today is history tomorrow. Everyone has been involved in history; the archive needs your stories memories photographs. (If you do not wish to part with photos and souvenirs we can always make copies and return your original).
Active Members are needed to help run the archive organise exhibitions, help with the gathering of stories, many people are not willing or feel they can not write down there memories. They require your help to record these stories that will otherwise How many times have you heard a parent, relation or friend talk of what they did during there working life or their childhood or just how things were in the past, These simple things need to be recorded the memories of what ordinary people did where they worked there part in Swansea history.
Starting on the 7 th November we have an exhibition of Swansea at War in the Grand Theatre.
