Wifies at War is a project run by the Arts Education Team of Aberdeen City Council. This project, Wifies at War, refers to Aberdeen women who lived through the Second World War. Pupils from five schools across the City worked with an oral historian to record memories from women in their school areas. The recordings will be transcribed and some will be made available through the schools' own websites. The project was funded by The Big Lottery Fund through the Scottish Library & Information Council.
A very small selection of the memories recorded by the school children is made available here.
