"The warning" A.R.P. FILM

Sheila Caunt (3years 11months old) being lifted free by Mr Mee, an A.R.P warden

"The Warning", an A.R.P. Film was taken on August 22nd, 1938, half way up St., James Street on the right hand side, in some old buildings that were being demolished. The photograph shown is taken from the film as part of an air raid demonstration. The picture shows Sheila Marie Caunt (three years and eleven months) being carried out of the "bombed Building" by Mr Mee, an ARP Warden. Also taking part in the film were Mrs Rose Caunt,her brother mr John Leckie, Mrs Lily Brown, and her son Mr Jimmy Brown.The Photograph was later used as a quiz question in the Nottingham Evening Post, on Saturday October 9th 1948.
