Isle of Wight Bestival BandsBestival was a big weekend for two Isle of Wight bands who played live sets on the BBC Introducing... stage at the 3-day boutique festival at Robin Hill Country Park. The BBC Introducing... stage was a new innovation for 2007's Bestival - hosting some of the best new acts on the planet and live DJ sets from Radio 1’s star collective. The BBC Introducing… tent played host to an awe-inspiring selection of up-and-coming artists – including Jack Peñate, Foals, Architecture In Helsinki and I Like Trains. The 1000-capacity venue featured as the festival's prime destination for great new music championed by festival curator and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank.
Help playing audio/video Two Isle of Wight bands were programmed on the bill - Bastila and I Love Audrey. ![]() Bastila Ventnor band Bastila had a 45 minute slot on the Sunday afternoon. Kody from the band said: "We're really excited about it ... Bestival has such a relaxed atmosphere - it's kinda cool to wander round and see some of the smaller stages with bands you might not have heard of before." Having won a Bestival place through a battle of the bands contest last year, I love Audrey were pleased to be back.
