BBC Introducing ... Isle of Wight Bestival Bands

Bestival was a big weekend for two Isle of Wight bands who played live sets on the BBC Introducing... stage at the 3-day boutique festival at Robin Hill Country Park.

The BBC Introducing... stage was a new innovation for 2007's Bestival - hosting some of the best new acts on the planet and live DJ sets from Radio 1’s star collective.

The BBC Introducing… tent played host to an awe-inspiring selection of up-and-coming artists – including Jack Peñate, Foals, Architecture In Helsinki and I Like Trains.

The 1000-capacity venue featured as the festival's prime destination for great new music championed by festival curator and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank.

Two Isle of Wight bands were programmed on the bill - Bastila and I Love Audrey.

Ventnor band Bastila had a 45 minute slot on the Sunday afternoon. Kody from the band said:

"We're really excited about it ... Bestival has such a relaxed atmosphere - it's kinda cool to wander round and see some of the smaller stages with bands you might not have heard of before."

Having won a Bestival place through a battle of the bands contest last year, I love Audrey were pleased to be back.

A+++ from I Love Audrey said: "It was amazing to have so many people turn up on a hot afternoon just to see a bunch of guys running around doing some good noise!"
