They will be showcasing their work in a Fascination Station at Bestival this weekend. Nothing is ever quite what it seems at Bestival - a ramshackle garden shed being built on the festival site is actually packed with the latest media technology. During the summer, A Level students from the Isle of Wight have created a big brother-style diary room, in the guise of an old shed. ![]() Bestival goers do the can-can The students have worked with local set designers, M3 Technology, to build the 'The Fascination Station'. It is a hand built shed on the outside and a state-of-the-art diary room on the inside, fitted with 40" plasma screens as well as broadcast quality camera and lighting. The students have created visual content which will be broadcast on the plasma screen within the booth. Bestie-goers can visit the booth to watch and give their reaction to the student's work - their response will be broadcast onto a 15sq metre mobile screen outside the booth. The project was put together by Creative Partnerships, BBC South & Bestival to give the students hands on media, production, journalism and technology experience in a creative environment. The Fascination Station will be situated in the Bestival Village area. last updated: 03/06/2008 at 10:20 You are in: Hampshire > Entertainment > Music > Festivals > Bestival > Fascination Station at Bestival External Links
