"Lets go Racing" - in Cumbria

What better way to spend an evening during the school holidays than trying out karting at Rowrah?

Youngsters in Cumbria are being given the opportunity to try outdoor karting, without the massive expense.

Cumbria Kart Racing Club have introduced the "Lets Go Racing" scheme, which has been a huge success.

Kids and their parents have been trying out the scheme at the circuit in Rowrah on Monday evenings during the summer.

Although the scheme is aimed at the children on the County, it's not just the kids who can take part.

There are also karts that parents can use to have a go with the children.

"Lets Go Racing" involves all the safety equipment, tuition and 10 laps of the famous Rowrah circuit, all for the cost of a fiver.

The scheme has been so popular, with between 15 and 25 children turning up at the practice nights.

Keep your eye on this space to see if the next Jenson Button graduates from the scheme.
