In light of our funding challenges, we are having to make tough decisions about some of our shows. We aren’t in a position to continue Winterwatch in its current form, so instead we are creating a new multi-platform series called Naturewatch (working title).

Naturewatch will be a weekly video podcast for BBC Two, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds that will keep audiences connected to British wildlife throughout the year, rather than concentrating our coverage into four days in winter. Naturewatch will provide a regular round-up of the biggest British nature stories every week – celebrating seasonal wildlife moments, exploring nature news, talking to experts, and sharing remarkable animal sightings from across the UK. Naturewatch will deliver greater value to audiences by providing multi-platform content.  

We are incredibly proud of Winterwatch and would like to thank the presenters and production team, who will continue on Springwatch when it returns next May.
