How to make a Halloween treat basket
Create your very own Halloween treat basket to take when you go trick-or-treating. You can make a pumpkin, a cat or a monster treat basket by following the instructions below.
- A paper plate
- A sponge or paintbrush
- Orange paint
- A pencil and ruler
- Scissors (adults use only)
- Black felt tip pen
- Sticky tape
- Coloured card
- Treats
Instructions to make a Halloween basket
Follow these simple instructions to make your own Halloween basket. Make sure to ask a grown-up for help.
Paint your paper plate orange and wait for it dry
When your plate is dry, draw on lines to make a rectangle
Get a grown-up to cut along the lines, stopping at the rectangle
Fold your plate along the lines you have drawn
Draw a pumpkin face on one side using a black felt tip pen
Fold the sides in and stick them together with sticky tape
Draw a line with your ruler along one side of your coloured card
Get a grown-up to cut along the line to make your handle
Stick your handle to both sides using sticky tape
Now you can fill your basket with treats!
If you love your basket you can even make a version that looks like a cat or a monster!
