Who is Mary Anning and what's in this dinosaur quiz?
Mary Anning was a famous fossil hunter and dinosaur discoverer (aka, a paleontologist and fossil collector) in the 1800s! She was the first person to discover important fossils, like an Ichthyosaur skeleton, the first two almost-complete Plesiosaur skeletons, PLUS the first Pterosaur found outside of Germany. Roarsome! She struggled to get credit for her hard work because she was a woman and from a working class family... she was even blocked from joining the Geological Society of London!
