We hope you’ve loved it too.

There are far too many highlights to mention but the awards for my favourite magic moments go to... will.i.am’s torch moonwalk, Sir Tom’s Elvis stories, the coaches’ megamix and the jacket potato with chilli and sour-cream in crew catering (week five).

Thanks for reading and leaving awesome comments – without you, this blog wouldn’t have been possible. Okay, it would have been possible but it’d have been completely pointless.

Congratulations to Leanne and all our incredible artists – you have soul on all your poles.

If YOU’VE got a cracking set of pipes, make sure you apply for The Voice Series 2.

Until then friends, I bid you farewell.

And don’t forget – IT’S ALL...

Deeps breaths everyone - the winner of The Voice UK is announced...

What a fantastic show! So much happened in tonight’s
skillathon (including performances from Ed Sheeran and Maroon 5), we were left
utterly breathless, at times a bit teary and just a little dizzy after that
whirlwind of wowzers.

Bo sung heart-wrenching hit ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and her
heavenly voice tiptoed over the stirring violins. The coaches fell over
themselves to praise her unique style. We had chills, and they multiplied
throughout that.

Leanne gave us a two minute lesson in WOW singing ‘It’s A
Man’s Man’s Man’s World’. She made it clear that it is actually a woman’s world
and she is the queen. Tom seemed to think so, getting to his feet after she
blew the studio away. We took a much needed moment to pick our jaw from the
floor.

Tyler James delivered a superb rendition of ‘I’ll Be There’
and all the TJ trademarks with it. Falsetto? Check. Shoes with no socks on?
Check. Goosebumps? Check. Will said Tyler’s
a survivor. Was that a rhyme? That’s unlike Will… Jessie hankered after that
date. We fainted momentarily. We’re good now…

Vince Kidd gave a stunning performance singing, ‘Many Rivers
To Cross’. He sailed through it on a canoe of cool and drenched the audience
with his powerful jet stream of high notes. The coaches loved it. Our ears
loved it.

We were treated to a little chemistry lesson courtesy Bo and
Danny, who sent sparks flying with ‘Read All About It’ and got so close at one point
we thought they might bang heads. Danny turned a rap into delightful melodic
verses and Bo sung over the marching band with purpose. Take that, Jubilee
procession (soz, your majesty!) AMAZING.

Tom and Leanne knocked us out with a double-strength dose of
talent. They sizzled together singing ‘Mama Told Me Not To Come’. Mama was
wrong and they were right never to listen to her. Who listens to their mum
anyway? That’s so uncool. (Hi mum!)

Will and Tyler were suspended in mid air as they pumped out
mega-hit OMG. Here’s a rave we never thought we’d get invited to, and yet we
all have a front row view of the duo’s foot-stomping talent-fest. Man, we love
this show…

Jessie and Vince gave us a mega-fresh masterclass in fierce.
They sung Jessie’s hit ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ amid blazing flames. If that ain’t a statement,
we don’t know what is. A solid performance with tricks, trills AND an acapella
finish. These two are HOT.

Then we had to say goodbye to the artist with the lowest
votes. Here’s where we (begrudgingly) said farewell to Vince Kidd. It’s been
quite a journey. Well done Vince, we think you rock!

You must enable javascript to play content

Let's give it up for The Voice UK runners up!...

Bo, Leanne and Tyler then took us for a trip down memory
lane, singing their favourite songs from throughout their time on the show. It
seems like only yesterday they were sending the coaches spinning at the Blind
Auditions. Now look at them! *Proud face*

And then the moment of reckoning came, Holly held an
agonising silence before announcing that Leanne
Mitchell is the winner of The Voice UK! Leanne you go, girl! You deserve it and
we can’t wait to see what lies in store for you!

Semi-finals! Semi finals! Did we mention that it’s the semi-finals? Wow, what a show…

The final eight polished their weapons (or voices, whatever) to fight for a place in the finals and Will briefly waved his Olympic torch at everyone. With one act from each team definitely leaving, the semi-finalists went hard to avoid going home.

First up was one-woman-choir Ruth Brown. She sang ‘The Voice Within’, on The Voice, and her voice rattled the ceiling. An emotional performance, Ruth shed her soul and some tears. We may have got a little choked up too (but don’t tell anyone).

Vince Kidd ditched his trademark tie-die for an all-black ensemble but he flaunted his trademark soul singing ‘Back To Black’.

Max Milner looked every inch the front man as he sung The Police classic, ‘Every Breath You Take’. He made it look as easy and natural as breathing itself and at one point, Danny looked genuinely love-struck. Awww.

Jaz invited his children’s choir to sing ‘Let It Be’ with him. It was a sermon of soul and made us feel all warm inside. Shazam!

Leanne Mitchell looked pretty in pink and tackled a Whitney song without of a trace of fear. What a woman. She hit every note in existence and had the coaches on their feet. Job well done Leanne!

Becky Hill looked elegant and looked a star singing er, ‘Like A Star’. A pleasant surprise from the little pocket rocket, she proved her versatility and impressed all of the coaches.

Bo Bruce twirled around in ticker tape and tickled our eardrums with her cashmere voice. Singing ‘Charlie Brown’ she stepped things up a gear and smashed it. Bo selecta! What? If Jessie can say it…

Tyler James avoided getting tossed into a salad of ballads and took an almighty risk by singing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. He can pull off wearing pink and he can pull off a Queen song. Amazing.

And to top everything off, Cheryl treated us to a world premiere performance of her new single ‘Call My Name’. Her dive into the throng of dancers, her moves… Just everything was WOWEE.

Phew! We’ll be twiddling our fingers (i.e. watching the performances over and over again) until tomorrow’s results show.

See you then!

Wowsers. What a show! We had dry ice, drama, some Danny O’Donoghue rapping. Nuff said.

It’s the last chance for the artists to prove themselves ahead of the semi finals and boy, did they do their best to ensure their places! Our eyebrows were blown away by the pyrotechnics, and don’t even get us started about those performances with team leaders Tom and Will…

Opening the show we had Leanne Mitchell singing ‘Put A Spell On You’ which rendered our coaches utterly spellbound. It was moody, magical and with a saxophonist in tow, one might even say it was ‘saxy’ too (sorry).

Frances Wood began her performance sitting on a throne fit for a pop princess. Singing club classic ‘Show Me Love’ (TUUUUNE), Will resisted the temptation to do The Carlton dance (again).

Matt and Sueleen sat faced away from each other to sing ‘Missing’. At first we thought they’d had a bust-up, but alas it was just some dramatic staging. Our favourite duo left in the show (don’t tell anybody), Matt and Sueleen showcased their chemistry and in Jessie’s opinion, some ‘refreshing harmonies’.

Joelle strutted on stage to sing ‘Stronger’. After finding herself in the bottom two last week, the words of this song couldn’t ring more true. If you couldn’t tell, Joelle meant business this week; she had shoulder pads for one, AND Pyrotechnic explosions that made will.i.am re-enact an action film. We think that means he liked it…

Ruth Brown gave it some welly singing ‘Next To Me’. If you do ever find yourself next to Ruth, can you ask her to be our friend? Anyway, as you may know, Tom has sung with many esteemed artists in his time, and he regarded Ruth as better than them all. A job well done, indeed.

Tyler James’s rendition of ‘Sign Your Name’ had us with our pens poised looking for the dotted line. Joined by a slew of string instruments and a screen with his face emblazoned all over it (no bad thing), it was a symphony of loveliness. We loved it. The coaches loved it. Didn’t you just love it?

Adam Isaac gave us a gig experience (only a bit less sweaty) singing ‘High and Dry’ with a guitar in hand. Tom likened Adam to a younger version of himself, which means he is a legend in the making. Get in.

Jaz Ellington took the words the right out of our mouths singing ‘Just the Way You Are’ and dedicated the sentimental words to his wife for their anniversary. Altogether now: “Awwwwww”

And then things got really special. Sir Tom and his artists performed ‘Hit the Road Jack’ in a style bigger than big band. They hit the road and smashed the notes. Will performed ‘I Got A Woman/ Gold Digger/ Just The Way You Are’ with his artists and showcased some super fly dance moves.

One heck of a show, we’re dreading the results show, where we’ll be saying goodbye to four artists…

See you then!

Hello hello, it’s your man on the inside Reggie with some breaking news,

As we race towards the final, the pressure is starting to get to our artists. A few of them have been hit by a sick bug this week – I’ve been running around handing out cups of hot lemon and honey and massages like nobody’s business. Just call me Reggie Nightingale.

Anyway, they’re all back to full health (woohoo!) and this weekend, it’s Team Tom and Team Will taking to the gigantic Voice stage once again to win a place in the semi-final. We’ll be losing FOUR artists this time around (two from each team) so it’s never been more important to deliver a killer performance.

So, what songs will they be singing to get them winning? Here’s the exclusive Saturday songlist...

Frances Wood – Show Me Love (Robin S)

Jaz Ellington – The Way You Are / Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel / Bruno Mars)

Joelle Moses – Stronger (Kelly Clarkson)

Tyler James – Sign My Name (Terence Trent D’Arby)

Adam Isaac – High And Dry (Radiohead)

Matt & Sueleen – Missing (Everyting But The Girl)

Leanne Mitchell – Put A Spell On You (Nina Simone)

Ruth Brown – Next To Me (Emeli Sandé)

Team Will and Team Tom will also be singing with their coach for the very first time, Team Danny and Team Jessie will be performing AND Scissor Sisters will taking to the Voice stage.

So, what do you think of this week’s song choices? Personally, I’m disappointed no-one’s singing Aswad but I’ll get over it. Smother my blog in your thoughts and I’ll see you Saturday night!

R x

So, as you know, the results show airs tonight and for the first time on The Voice UK, you’ll have a say on who stays and who goes home. After the mind-blowing performances last night, it’s going to be especially hard to say goodbye to two artists. Remind yourselves of just how good they were and watch all the performances again.
But it’s not going to be all tense lighting and dramatic sound effects, we have got lots of cool things in store to keep spirits up during the results show.

Luckily they are still firmly on the sides of our head but they are ringing with the sound of some super-mega-fresh performances.

Our four coaches kicked-off the show in style joining forces on stage once again to give an exhilarating rendition of U2’s ‘Beautiful Day’. It was amazing to the power of 4 - don’t you think?

And then it was back to business as Team will.i.am and Team Tom took to the stage to sing for a place in semi finals. We had live instruments, dancing and plenty of soul (on a pole or otherwise).

Here’s what sent the internet into a mesmerised flurry…

Joelle brought the house down with her rendition of ‘I’m Going Down’ (and THAT dress).

Sam strutted his stuff with a slew of dancers singing ‘A Little Respect’. Request granted.

Frances belted ‘Ain’t Nobody’ and got up-close-and-personal with her male dancers. Ooh-er.

Adam brushed-off an injured arm to play guitar and sing ‘All My Life’ like an absolute rock God.

Jaz brought a touch of jazz to the proceedings to sing ‘At Last’. Reggie said he looked like an R&B cowboy.

Leanne’s voice proved to be as timeless as her monochrome dress, singing ‘Who Knew’. Tom knew. That’s who.

Sophie sparkled throughout her strong performance of ‘Titanium’.

Matt and Sueleen cooed some properly lovely harmonies with a guitar in hand.

Tyler showcased some seamless falsetto singing (quite aptly) ‘Higher Love’.

Ruth sang every note ever invented and then held one of them for approximately 10 minutes.

Oh yeah, and Reggie looked pretty suave in the V Room.

Goosebumps… hairs standing on end… Yep, we’ve got all the symptoms of Voice-itus.

Let us know – who were your favourites? What did you think of the coaches’ performance? There’s plenty of space especially for your comments below.

Oh, and have a look at the artists in rehearsal here while you're at it too.

Fist-bumps all round! (Yeah, we’re cool)

x

Let us know in the comments below.

Only two more days until the live show – if you need us we’ll be practising our moonwalk.

Bye!

I can’t believe I’m about to say this but... next weekend, we
will be going LIVE to the nation and you will finally be able to have your say
on who becomes THE VOICE UK. I’d just like to say AAAAAHHHHH, I CAN’T WAIT!

I wanted to be the first to fill you in on what you can
expect next weekend...

On Saturday, our four amazing coaches will be performing
together live – it’s going to be a beautiful day! Funnily enough, I can also now
exclusively reveal that’s what they will be singing...U2’s Beautiful Day.

Not only that but LANA DEL REY will be performing in our
first results show on Sunday 29 April – that’s right, we’re on Saturday AND
Sunday, people!

As if THAT wasn’t enough juicy information (I feel dizzy
already), it will be Teams Will and Tom performing for your votes in show one.
By the end of the weekend, one artist from each team will be leaving the
competition. Sad face.

Right, that’s enough excitement for one post. Keep checking
back during the week for more updates.

I’m off to practice my lines.

Peace!

So what got your juices pumping this week? Any big shocks or surprises? Here are some of the talking points...

• will.i.am VS... everyone – is he whoop-whoop-whooping the competition?

• Big night for Danny – is HE the one to watch?

• The ones that got away – would you have turned for Kerry Ellis, Shansel or others?

• Risks – tonight’s artists risked jobs, reputations and even splinters (from performing barefoot)

• Flirting – everybody’s at it! But who would YOU bat your eyelashes at?

Tell us YOUR THOUGHTS. Share your FEELINGS. Let it ALL OUT.

But for now... STOP! Vol-au-vent time.

Bye!
