Morning again. Bright and cold (of course) but grateful for a whole extra degree on yesterday's total. Three? Three degrees! Party time on the last school run of term. Unbutton that shirt and wind down the window. I might visit a garden centre on the way to work just to strike a pose with a geranium.

Survived parents evening last night with a quick scoot off after the show. There is no doubt that third time round we are somewhat more cavalier about these things than the first time. They are still very important of course but it all seemed so much weighty and serious before. With time and perspective you see things differently and are (slightly) more relaxed about everything. Lucky old child 3 then!

Today we welcome Sir Tom Jones and Jessie J to Drivetime as The Voice returns to BBC1. Good memories of our Hyde Park gig last September (of heat, primarily). Tom and Jessie really are a good team and seem to genuinely like each other. Sir Tom will tell us about Elvis and Jessie will look effortlessly cool. That spinning chair thing was fun and I intend to give it a go tonight if Tom and Jessie let me have a go. Can they find a genuine star though? Find out tonight. And songs about the VOICE please to gild the lily.

Have an extravagant and indulgent Wednesday, see you after 5
