My favourite guest was in again today and it was so good to see him again. A comedy idol of mine and he didn't disappoint. But then again, even if he did, I wouldn't tell you.

Here is a photo which will be going on my phone background immediately.

Come on Andy!

Nice work by Andy Murray this morning who has reached the Australian Open final.

I sent a text to Producer Neil this morning saying I had 'overslept' and would be late when, in reality I was watching the tennis on BBC TWO.

I thought it would be appropriate to re-post this from a couple of months ago in case you hadn't seen it. Topical.

I didn't want to write a dodgy Jenson Button pun...

The temptation is big but I want to resist a 'button' related gag.

Spot the dork wearing a name badge:

What's new?

Greg James|11:22 UK time, Monday, 25 January 2010

I've become a movie buff over the weekend. Following on from my awful reviews a few weeks back when James King was off, I've decided to pull my finger out.

First up was '500 Days of Summer', which has a great soundtrack by the way. Then watched Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorius Basterds' with my mates on Saturday night. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is a superb film - some amazing acting and totally deserved the awards it's just won.

I then watched 'The Hangover' (for the 3rd time). This has given me a great idea for my 25th birthday in December. (Ie. Go to Vegas)

Then last night it was all about the brand new series of 24. Oh it was a good one.

From the above information, it seems like I stayed in all weekend like a sad case. That is partly true, but managed to catch up with a load of old mates too and even managed to see my girlfriend and buy a new phone. A busy weekend.

The show this week has the usual load of nonsense, with added glitz in the form of Ricky Gervais back on the show on Friday afternoon.

Oh, and I saw Peter Capaldi from brilliant BBC series 'The Thick of It' in a coffee shop yesterday - didn't say hello to him. No point. This is him in action:

Also, following on from last week's 'Do you have an interesting story about a key-fob?' question, here's a new one...

Answer below please:

Do you have an interesting story about...some kitchen lino?

Best ones will make it on air...

Two words for you...

My mate sent me this earlier on...

Do you find this funny? I hope it's not just me who loves things like this.

I promised you some photos from the Brits launch last night. Ummm...the quality isn't the best I've just realised. It wasn't due to beer, more my useless phone camera:

This is the superb Ellie Goulding as she performed 'Starry Eyed':

I thought I'd take this opportunity to 'pap' Fearne as she arrived and was busy doing interviews before she hosted the show:

I then managed to sneak into a Biffy Clyro gig:

Finally Florence and the Machine get the number one album they deserved, nice work.

Annnnyway...Good afternoon lovely people and thank you for reading - I hope you had a good weekend?

I was flat hunting on Saturday and made progress. Well, when I say progress, I mean I ruled out places I DIDN'T want to live. The ghetto being one. All fine though. I drowned my sorrows by buying some new cricket equipment for winter training. Nets start next week.

A busy week ahead and looking forward to it, I went a bit mad on Thursday and decided to go for a walk around my favourite part of London - here:

Got the Brits launch party tonight which I am looking forward to..

P.S. I watched Glee double bill yesterday afternoon with my girlfriend and I'm starting to like it. And, as predicted, adores it.

Meet....Billy!

I've decided to call him Billy. It was suggested by Emily on the last blog.

Here he is - week 2 - he's doing pretty well:

In other news, I'm watching Glee. Not blown away to be honest. Should I keep watching??

Good Hustle...

The lovely Kelly Adams who plays Emma in BBC One series 'Hustle' was on the show today. We talked about the new series (which is on BBC One Mondays at 9pm), her path to getting the part in the show (via Holby City and Robin Hood), and a very special guest that's appearing in epidode 5 in a few weeks time! Listen to the interview below to find out who's in it...I wonder!

Watch last night's episode here - it's dead good.

Tonight at 9pm on BBC Three, a show I filmed in the summer about young Brits abroad is on!

It features some very interesting characters that I met, some nudity and me in shorts wandering gormlessly around the beach.

My little niece got me a Mr Grasshead for Christmas and I thought I'd document it's 'hair' growth on the blog for the next few weeks. (don't worry, it won't be EVERYDAY!)

Here he is, day 1:

Welcome along to 2010!

Greg James|17:37 UK time, Monday, 4 January 2010

Well here we are then, another decade. Hello to all the old farts who regularly look on here and welcome to the new people too. If you are new, please say hello on the comments thing below - it's always excellent to hear from you and I'd like to thank you for your input. Here's to the next 12 months!

So, my holiday was pretty good then. You know, the usual, bit of sun, sea and heat exhaustion. I was tucked up in bed vomiting for two days because my fair skin was ill prepared for the rays. I would like to publicly apologise to my girlfriend's parent's whose kitchen sink I was sick into.

Holiday done then, saw in the new year on the beach, or 'playa' as the Spanish would say, and then hot-footed it back to the UK. Except for a 2hr wait on the runway due to there not 'being enough Spanish air traffic controllers', it was all pretty enjoyable.

As you may have heard on the show today, I accidentally bought a Renault Espace from the 90s for my girlfriend as a joke. I bid for it thinking that someone would out bid me. They didn't. I still haven't received an email back from the woman as I told her I didn't want it. I'm an idiot. Here is the car in question:
