Hope you have a great week. I think summer has finally arrived. I celebrated by going for a walk and a country drive this weekend.

]]> All that and a desire to have kids, I think I'm growing up. Off home for a session of writing. Not really sure how all this will go but it's worth a bash. Trip to London later for a quick meeting.

Here's to the weekend.

]]> I'm taking my Mum out for lunch now. Then I'll think I'll head back home for some deodorant. I recently shaved my armpits. Smells a bit.

However some people like that kind of thing. Later I shall be mainly shouting at the telly as Pakistan attempt to beat Australia for the first time in 543 attempts.

So yes its true that I will be leaving Asian Network on the 4th of June to pursue some other radio and TV projects and concentrate on comedy and writing.I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for all of your loyalty and support over the 9 years. It's been quite a journey covering 9/11 in my first year, Sunday afternoons, Lates with the Jay Sean era, 7/7,.Drive with Wax, and now Breakfast. I truly believe it's a privilege to work at the BBC, not an obligation. I have always tried to push things further than is expected of us, to bring added value for you the licence fee payer..This is precisely why I am hoping to work across the BBC and try and do what I have been doing across other wider BBC platforms. I promise though I will never let go of the heritage.

I think BBC Asian Network in any capacity is one of the most important stations on the dial and long may it continue.

I am genuinely excited and nervous about my journey ahead. For me, the thrill will come from trying.

Thank you again, for the personal messages and kind words of support.

All the best to Tommy whom I am certain will do a great job for all of us.

Hey.

So today is set to be the warmest day of the year. I do hope you decided to dress accordingly. More to the point, wear deodorant. I am on the train right now and have been forced to move from smelly guy.

]]> Oh man. His sweat smell was something you'd expect from a sumo wrestler's changing room. Too much. What is wrong with some people? A quick squirt is all you need. Every half hour if need be.

Anyway rant over. Tomorrow on the show the lovely smelling Hardeep Singh Kolhi telling us about his naked exploits. Much love. Adil. X
