KIM: Hey Max. Want to make a word? Yes Max! By blending. Boy did I make him smart. Aw, looks yum! But we don't blend sounds with a smoothie blender. We use our mouths to blend sounds and make a word. Nice word Max. Let's sound it out.
MAX: C-a-t.
KIM: Each letter makes a sound. When we say the sounds quicker they start to blend.
MAX: C-a-t. C-a-t. Cat!
KIM: Let's swap the first sound.
MAX: H-a-t. H-a-t. Hat! Hat! Hat!
KIM: Great work Max! And nice hat cat. Do you make smoothies?
