Tony Blair: 'Military was ready for Iraq war'

Tony Blair has told the Iraq inquiry that the UK military was "fully ready" to go to war in Iraq in 2003.

He said: "If anyone had come to me and said it is not safe to do this because of the lack of proper military preparation, I would have taken that very seriously. But they didn't and they got on with it."
