Kidnapped woman found
Home of helen Judge in Kildare
Helen Judge was kidnapped from her home
A mother of three kidnapped by a gang from her Kildare home at the weekend has been found by the police in the Republic of Ireland.

On Wednesday, Gardai said they had located Helen Judge, 41, in Omeath in County Louth following a tip-off.

She was found in a wooded area at 0500 BST after the call at 0300 BST.

She was kidnapped from her home in Allentown, where she lives with her two sons, late on Sunday night.

The gang had telephoned the family home and demanded a ransom of 200,000 euro.

Mrs Judge was barefoot and wearing only a nightgown and dressing gown when she was taken and the police said they were particularly concerned because she takes medication.

Mrs Judge is the estranged wife of Irish businessman Liam Judge. Detectives say the ransom demand was not met.

He is reported to be living in Spain with the daughter of John Gilligan, a convicted Dublin criminal who was cleared of the murder of the journalist Veronica Guerin.

Gardai said they still have no motive for the kidnapping.
