| A Doberman has survived after plunging off a 200ft cliff into the sea in East Sussex while chasing a rabbit. Lifeboat crews said four-year-old Gemma still managed to swim to shore even after breaking two legs and suffering deep cuts and internal injuries. Owners watched in horror as she plunged over the cliff at Newhaven, but a vet said Gemma would make a full recovery. Coastguards scoured the shore and found her at midday on Tuesday. A spokesman said Gemma had "a lucky escape".
