| Bridlington Spa is to be closed for 18 months while �10m is spent on refurbishing the entertainment complex on South Marine Drive. East Riding Council, which owns the Victorian building, says it is in urgent need of modernisation. The Spa will shut in January for work which will include a new entrance and better conference facilities. However, the building will temporarily reopen for the Winmau World Masters darts championship.
