Diana designer dress auctioned off
Princess Diana's wedding dress
Princess Diana's wedding dress is Elizabeth Emmanuel's most famous
A Shropshire animal charity shop is auctioning off a wedding dress made by the woman who designed Princess Diana's famous gown.

An anonymous donor left the Elizabeth Emmanuel dress at the PDSA store in Wellington along with some more mundane items.

The gown has a fitted bodice, no train and flowers on the shoulders.

Anna Bromley, the assistant manager of the New Street shop, said it was an amazing discovery.

We'd like the woman who left the dress to come forward to we can say 'thankyou' to her

"Someone left some household odds and ends at the shop.

"Along with that there was a mystery package - it turned out to be a beautiful wedding gown.

"We've been left some antiques before, but never anything like this.

"We are an animal charity and people do sometimes show us great kindness," she added.

"We'd like the woman who left the dress to come forward to we can say 'thank you' to her."

A bid of more than 200 has already been put in for the gown.

All offers for the dress must be made by 19 April.
